A diagnosis should always be performed prior to whitening your teeth. You need to be educated on the possible problems associated with the whitening process. Expensive tooth colored restorations (fillings, crowns, etc.) will not bleach. Whitening without dentist monitoring can cause a mismatch along with the resulting need for expensive, traumatic restoration replacement. Ideally, whitening should be performed prior to the placement of tooth colored restorative to prevent the need of having to redo them. Also, teeth with broken, leaky restorations can potentially hurt if the defective restoration is not first replaced prior to whitening. Very sensitive teeth can be made more sensitive with whitening. We can monitor and provide the appropriate treatments should this occur.

Consistent Whitening
Occasionally, too much whitening can cause some teeth to go translucent, causing the teeth to appear darker. This can also cause metal fillings to show through more. We can help to ensure that you don't over whiten and that you achieve the smile you want.

Customized Care

Over-the-counter products will only whiten for short periods of time throughout the day. The products we offer will remain active for longer periods which means you will have white teeth in about half the time of store-bought systems.
